On 26th April our community of innovators and industry leaders, including retailers, manufacturers, financial institutions, insurers, telcos, fintechs and tech providers gathered at FTT Embedded Finance & Super Apps, where we delved into the technologies, innovations and trends that are defining the future of how financial services are devised and distributed.
During the day, our Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Founder, Lisa Moyle, took the opportunity to sit down with Tamara Kostova, CEO, Velexa. Velexa is an Investing Platform as a Service, empowering financial institutions and disruptive players to capitalise on the demand and opportunity for embedded investing. Their solutions enable businesses to launch investing products that can be seamlessly integrated into their customer offering.
Tamara works closely with institutional clients on maximizing their growth opportunities through forward-thinking, customised, and embedded investing services. She is a passionate advocate for the modernisation of the financial services industry, offering personalised services with clients’ needs front and centre. With over 20 years of industry experience driving client and partner strategies in top tier financial technology companies and banks, she is well placed to identity all that embedded finance can offer.
Tamara shared what she sees the most exciting opportunities. Ultimately it about delivering value to consumers and businesses with investing and investment services. “Some of the latest statistics show that $59 trillion is the amount of investable wealth. More than 75% of the people holding this money are interested in growing their wealth through investing and trading services” she added “What it is actually quite interesting is that the majority of those end consumers are actually excluded from the investing market”. Where there is exclusion, there is an opportunity to do more.
Tamara said that there are three reasons driving exclusion. A lack of investing experience, high commission fees within the trading market and, the main one, the lack of a familiar and secure way to access investing services.
Velexa aims to impact the way in which wealth management products are created and distributed, empowering banks to offer a unified experience to end consumers, where they can manage their personal finances as a whole – from current accounts and credit card payments to investing services. They offer a personalized investing experience that aligns with the customer’s saving goals and objectives.
