Raffaela Kestel, Senior Product Director at Validis, speaks the barriers that SMEs face in securing funding. It’s a big issue – 100,000 SMEs to the tune of £4 billion of funding are being rejected by lenders.
Getting SMEs what they need when they need it is central to their mission. Validis extract data, normalize it and analyse it so as to enhance the lending journey. Ultimately, this helps deliver more funding to the SMEs that so desperately need it.
Open banking data plays a big part in what Validis is doing but, as Raffaela explains, the industry is only scratching the surface when it comes to the possibilities.
