They are dedicated to helping merchants grow and thrive and embedded finance is a key part of that strategy. Their embedded payments platform, streamlines the payments experience and helps merchants run their businesses.
At the 2025 FTT Fintech Festival Michaela joined a very interesting conversation on agentic AI, alongside Divya Bhardwaj, COO of Uber Payments and Pedro Batista, CEO of Payhawk. She notes the significant opportunities that AI Agents present, such as faster transactions, reducing admin and, for merchants, increasing discoverability of their products and services.
However, there are concerning downsides. The idea of agentic robots out there on the internet, armed with your credit card details, making transactions and potential fraud raise significant questions. As Michaela says, regulators need to step in to provide some certainly and clarity for merchants.
She highlights that this is an important area to keep an eye on over the coming months.
