Karen Bradbury, FS Sector Lead from Invest NI provides an overview of the dynamic fintech scene in Northern Ireland. That includes a growing cluster of home-grown companies with an emerging specialty on cyber security and regtech.
She touches on the importance of re-engaging post pandemic and the value of face-to-face interaction. Accompanying Karen at the Fintech Talents Festival were eight companies with a broad range of offerings who really benefited from access to the Fintech Talents community,
She also points to the draw of including Building Societies in the Festival community. Tier one banks are tough for fintechs to access and get an ‘in’. Building Societies both have a need for innovative solutions and offer a faster route to a potential partnership.
