Where the business of money meets the pleasure of ideas

The payments industry has outgrown the hotel ballroom. The FTT Festival of Payments is something genuinely new — a premium two-day festival on one of London's finest Georgian squares, combining headline content, live debate, curated exhibitions, and a social atmosphere that no traditional conference can manufacture.

Inspired by the FT Weekend Festival and Hay Festival of Literature, we bring the ideas-led festival model to financial services — with a deliberately assembled line-up of buyers that sets this apart from every other event in the sector. The heads of payments at the world's largest banks, marketplaces, merchants, and platforms; the regulators shaping the rules; and the investors backing the next wave — across two days of open gardens, live debate, and genuine exchange.

“The reason the conversations are different here is that everyone in the room has been chosen to be here. That changes everything — the questions people ask, the things they're willing to say, and who they're willing to say them to.”

The Festival operates on an application and invitation model. Every delegate — buyer and vendor alike — is reviewed against seniority, relevance, and commercial fit before a place is confirmed. The result is a room where every conversation is worth having.

Agenda
The experience

Two Content Stages

A Main Stage for keynotes and headline panels. A Studio Stage for deep-dives and practitioner sessions. Editorial-quality programming across both days.

Live Music

Morning sets, lunchtime performances, and an evening social with live acts — turning transitions between sessions into cultural moments, not dead time.

Street Food Village

London's finest independent vendors across Bedford Square's gardens — keeping attendees on-site and in conversation throughout both days.

Hosted Meetings

A structured 1:1 programme connecting pre-vetted buyers, sellers, and investors. Algorithmically matched and editorially reviewed — so every meeting is worth having.

Exhibition Gardens

Exhibiting clients are selected for relevance to the delegate community — no badge-scanning booths, no cold pitching. Vendors earn their place at the Festival.

Bedford Square Setting

One of London's finest Georgian garden squares — informal, prestigious, distinctly un-corporate. The setting signals this is not an ordinary event.
